In December 2024 our Don Donkeys played in the Australian School Championships on the Gold Coast. The Footlocker Australian School Championships (ASC) is the pinnacle event for school basketball in Australia that sees secondary schools from around Australia travel and compete in a week-long event.  What a wonderful experience for our students who gave their all while representing Don College interstate.  The results didn’t always go our way, but this tournament was about more than wins and losses. We may have shifted perceptions with how our Donkeys went about it and competed—mixing grit, hustle, and smiles—and brought the FUN back to an event that can sometimes feel a little too serious.

To our local community, you’ve helped make the Don Donkeys the talk of Australian basketball (at least for a week anyway) …. Thank you for being the backbone of our success, our fun, and our unshakable Donkey spirit!
